He was only nine years old and every night before he went to bed he always wanted to hear his favourite bed time story, “Adventures in IMAX City”. IMAX city was a place where every kid dreamed of going. It was full of wonderful things. Tommy always wanted to go there. One night, him and his big brother Mike decided to go there.
Close your eyes and hold on tight - said Mike. Tommy closed his eyes and before he could open his eyes they were there. It was just like he imagined it.
“Stay close to me. It’s a big city. I don’t want you to get lost,” said Mike.
“Okay” said Tommy.
“You two look new around this area” said MegaX. A Robot officer.
“We just came here to visit.” – Said Tommy
“Well this is a nice city, and so far we haven’t had any trouble, and we like to keep it that way.” said MegaX.
“Don’t you worry officer,” said Mike
Mike and Tommy started walking around the city.
“Free rides! Ride my magic carpet!” Magician yelled.
“A magic carpet! Can we please ride it?” asked Tommy very excitedly
“Sure,” said Mike.
They both went got on the magic carpet. They flew realy realy high. They flew higher than the buildings. Even higher than the clouds. They could see everything. It was really beautiful.
“Why is that river yellow?” asked Tommy
“It’s not just a river. It’s an orange juice river” said the Magician.
“Orange Juice! I love orange Juice!” yelled Tommy
“You do? That hold on tight” said the Magician.
Tommy hugged his brother and held on to him tight.
They landed on top of a bridge. The bridge was made out of chocolate and cookies. Tommy drank a lot of orange juice from the river. That was the best orange juice Tommy had ever had. They got back on the carpet. Wow Tommy couldn’t believe it. A dragon just flew by him.
“Why is the mountain so white?” asked Tommy .
“It’s an ice cream mountain” said the Magician.
“An ice-cream mountain! Can we please go?” begged Tommy.
“Sure!” said mike.
That was the biggest ice-cream Tommy had ever seen. There were all flavours. There were strawberries, cherries and even Tommy’s favourite, bananas. He ate as much as his stomach could carry. He loved IMAX city. Next they went to the Dinosaur Zoo. They had all kinds of dinosaurs there. Even Tommy’s favourite dinosaur Tyrannosaurus. Then they went to the moon.
“Look how high I can Jump!” yelled Tommy as he jumped as high as the stars.
Tommy had never been to the moon before. He had heard stories from his grandmother, but he didn’t know it could be this much fun. From the moon they could see everything. Tommy saw a unicorn, a dragon, cake buildings, a chocolate and orange river, French fries Eifel Tower, talking robots, even dinosaurs. Tommy went back to the city.
“Welcome to the circus” a clown yelled.
“Can we go? Can we please go!” begged Tommy.
Mike wasn’t sure this because as a kid he was scared of circus people, but how could he turn down such a cute face that his little brother just made.
“Sure!” said Mike.
The circus was so much fun. He saw elephants that could walk on a ball, a monkey who could juggle, and dolphin who could talk and many other tricks. Next it was the Magician from the magic carpet. He was doing a coin trick.
“How did the coin disappear?” asked Tommy surprised.
“I’m not too sure. We can find out after the show!” said Mike.
After an amassing show Tommy and Mike went to visit the Magician.
“How did you make a coin disappear” asked Tommy.
“ It’s really easy, you can come tomorrow at my class and I will teach you. Tommy was very excited.
“Can we please go?” asked Tommy.
“Yes we can!” said Mike.
“Oh Thank You! You are the best big brother ever!” said Tommy happily.
“You are the best little brother ever!” said Mike.
It was getting very late and Tommy had to go to bed. The Magician flew Tommy and Mike back to their house on his magic carpet.
“Would you like to come in for some milk and cookies? My mom makes the best cookies ever.” said Tommy.
Tommy was right; those were the best cookies ever. Tommy went to bed very happy and fell asleep excitedly for his next adventure with his big brother.
